She regularly gives recitals and has worked in productions for Muziektheater Transparant, the Flemish Opera, Les Ballets C de la B and Ensemble Leporello. As part of her own production house, she worked on Zout and, in collaboration with the Flemish opera, Gretel the Witch, an opera for children aged 8 and above. She sang the role of Gretel.

As an ensemble singer, she collaborates in the WDR Radio Choir (Cologne), since 2023 as a fixed memeber, and Studium Chorale (Maastricht).

In addition to her singing, the artist has been accompanying her voice students with great enthusiasm and is the current vocal coach of the Bach choir Siegen. In her teaching, she puts considerable value on the physiology of singing. This technique, which she learned from Judith Lindenbaum, forms the core of her dissertation, which she has been working on at the University of Siegen since 2020. Since 2023 her project "Stimmt! Gesunde Lehrerstimme für bessere Lernbedingungen in der Klasse" is supported by the german Heidehofstiftung.

Irene Carpentier received her Master of Music at the Royal Conservatory in Antwerp with Stephanie Friede. At the same time, she completed a master's degree in vocal pedagogy at the same conservatory. She then went on to study at the Flanders Opera Studio in Ghent and obtained another master's degree from the Fontys University of the Arts in Tilburg (NL) with Xenia Meijer. For her studies she received scholarships from Stichting Robus and Tivoli Fonds.

Furthermore, she acquired important musical impulses from Anthony Rolfe Johnson, Graham Johnson, Barbara Bonney, Ann Murray, Roberta Invernizzi, Maarten Koningsberger, Valérie Guillorit, Paul Triepels and Johannette Zomer.
Today she is supported artistically by Judith Lindenbaum.
